Apple Cottage is a recently refurbished cottage in the centre of the conservation village of Bladnoch. The property is furnished to a high standard and aims to provide a luxurious and comfortable stay for every guest. The house has three bedrooms, two upstairs (one king & one twin which can be made into a superking) and one downstairs (double). There are two bathrooms, both with separate showers and one includes a bath. For relaxing, there is a sitting room with log burner, a television space and a conservatory. The large kitchen includes a kitchen table (seats 6) and a log burner. We have provided books and games for our guests use. There is a large mature garden at the back of the property which includes numerous plants and shrubs as well as several apple trees. We also have a boules pitch at the bottom of the garden and a foosball table in the conservatory.

The property has been a labour of love by the owners to convert and renovate it to the highest of standards providing excellent self-catering accommodation for six people. Digby Street is a quiet side road off the main street in the charming and popular bustling town of Gatehouse of Fleet.
The accommodation provides a large spacious open plan kitchen/dining/sitting room furnished and finished to an excellent standard. There is a seating area on the first floor landing which leads to master bedroom with ensuite shower room, and further double bedroom and bunk bedroom together with spacious family bathroom with Jack and Jill wash basins. The accommodation has been carefully modernised throughout to compliment the character of the property and you will find many pictures, books and objects from different parts of the world. Gatehouse of Fleet has excellent facilities including a good range of pubs and hotels, mini markets and Heritage Sites such as the Mill on the Fleet and Cardoness Castle. There is direct access to attractive river and woodland walks from the town whilst those looking for more strenuous activities have easy access to hill walking and mountain biking in the Galloway Forest Park on the Forestry Commission 7Stanes Biking Routes. The local area also has many exhibitions, festivals and performances throughout the year.
Gatehouse of Fleet is ideally situated for exploring South West Scotland and had easy access to Solway Coast with its sandy beaches and cliff walks. Throughout the area there are numerous golf courses, opportunities for fishing and other water sports.
The properties at Mochrum Park are in an ideal position for walks through the park and along side the river Bladnoch where we have some of our Salmon fishing the location also makes an ideal base for exploring the region and all that it has to offer. Converted from a farm to a hunting lodge in 1855 by the Earl of Galloway, this historic house offers life at a different pace. Its systems are entirely reliant on nature with its own hydro-electricity and separate water supply. It has full central heating and wood-burning stove. A large conservatory (with hot tub) allows you to relax and enjoy the spectacular views and wildlife whatever the weather. There is no television reception, but a small set is provided for those who wish to bring their own video or games. There is a payphone for those who fret at the loss of a mobile signal!
The house is surrounded by over two acres of private land with a small burn, woodland and pond. Beyond this is some of the finest oak forest in Scotland with trees up to 400 years old. Sheep graze nearby and wildlife predominates so dogs must be kept under strict control. This recently renovated farm cottage sits in the heart of a busy working, upland farm which breeds native Black face Sheep and Galloway cattle, it is known as The Home of The White Galloway.
The Farm sits on a hillside overlooking the beautiful Wigtown Bay with panoramic views over the “Machars” and out to the Irish Sea and the Isle of Man. It is three miles outside Creetown and ideally placed for anyone wishing to explore this unspoilt coastline and hills.
This area has so much to offer visitors from the thrill seekers racing round the mountain bike tracks at Kirroughtree to those just wanting to sit back and enjoy the peace and quiet, admiring the daytime views and the night time dark skies, free from light pollution. We are also trying to do our bit for the environment and have our own wind turbine on the hillside generating electricity.

The town of Whithorn is also nearby and is the earliest known Christian Community. South West Scotland has a very mild climate due to the effect of the Gulf Stream which and there are several “exotic” gardens in the area which are open to the public and contain unexpected plant varieties for the area. This former gamekeeper’s cottage, built in 1896, lies up a peaceful glen in the Galloway hills. Here you are away from traffic noise and street lights, and on a clear night see the stars.

Nearby Creetown, reached further up the Skyreburn road has the Gem Rock Museum.

Two centuries younger than its next door neighbour The Pend, Precinct House echoes back to a time when Whithorn’s medieval streets were being refashioned in the Scottish Georgian vernacular style. The house is made up of two buildings joined together by a glass atrium, perfect for sunny indoor dining.
Park Cottage is a former rectory within Galloway House Estate. In 1740 the Earl of Galloway chose this exceptionally sheltered bay to build his mansion and develop a Capability Brown inspired garden. You can still make out the avenue where the rector rode his pony to the mansion house chapel. The stable is now our log store.
Today our visitors can enjoy 23 private acres of this listed landscape with the sea and venerable trees to the east and open fields and the old laundry just visible to the south. Enjoy the summerhouse and watch the fishing boats sailing by or perhaps catch a glimpse of the abundant wildlife in the garden.

This charming cottage is just the ticket for exploring this beautiful picturesque corner of Southwest Scotland. Dating back more than 150 years and originally two farm cottages, nowadays it is a peaceful and cosy retreat. A honeysuckle archway leads to a delightful garden just waiting to be explored. For those who prefer their comforts inside then the wood burning stove offers the perfect spot for curling up with a good book. The cottage enjoys views across Palmallet Loch, a habitat for an abundance of wildlife. Throughout spring and summer you can watch swans nestling and cygnets learning to swim and feed. There are many species of birds and ducks, and occasionally a heron, attracted by the loch and its surroundings. If you are lucky you may also spot deer, badgers, foxes and birds of prey. For walkers this is a perfect base. From the cottage door heading through Palmallet Farm you can pick up the coastal path either heading north to Garlieston or south to the Isle of Whithorn. The pretty little sandy beach at Rigg Bay is delightful and the views from Cruggleton Castle are beautiful.

Accessibility statement: We are a campsite with all flat entrances and a fully fitted disabled shower/toilet room with grab rales and a fitted seat in wet room. The field is flat with flagged pathways over the gravel entrance. Our static caravans are not wheelchair friendly but after getting up 3 large steps they are all on the flat and have walk in showers in them.

This small Victorian dairy farm dates back to a time when agriculture was undergoing nationwide changes in order to feed a growing population. A beautifully preserved farm cottage forms the centrepiece among outbuildings, a byre, steading and calf shed. Faldarroch is also now part of the Walkers and Cyclists Welcome Schemes and has a drying room for wet clothes and storage for bikes/outdoor boots and clothing.
The open-plan farm kitchen is warmed by an original working range, a Victorian iron four-poster bed lies at the centre of the master bedroom, and outdoors, as the land rolls down to the sea, wildlife such as red squirrels abound.
In the paddock, beyond the walled garden, there is newly excavated wildlife pond, with a burn tumbling in and out, which you can cross using the two wooden bridges. Planting of this area is a long term project, but water-loving plants and trees are gradually being introduced to populate the banks and brown trout will make an appearance as the vegetation grows up. Local birds, including herons, wagtails and swallows are already making use of the pond. Sit on one of the handy boulders on the banks in summer and watch the dragonflies!

We would love to welcome you to The Steading Cottage at Kirkmabreck which has been worked by our family for four generations, almost 100yrs. This recently renovated farm cottage sits in the heart of a busy working, upland farm which breeds native Black face Sheep and Galloway cattle, it is known as The Home of The White Galloway.
The Farm sits on a hillside overlooking the beautiful Wigtown Bay with panoramic views over the “Machars” and out to the Irish Sea and the Isle of Man. It is three miles outside Creetown and ideally placed for anyone wishing to explore this unspoilt coastline and hills.
This area has so much to offer visitors from the thrill seekers racing round the mountain bike tracks at Kirroughtree to those just wanting to sit back and enjoy the peace and quiet, admiring the daytime views and the night time dark skies, free from light pollution. We are also trying to do our bit for the environment and have our own wind turbine on the hillside generating electricity.
Glenquicken is a working farm with sheep, horses, hens, pedigree Galloway cattle and working dogs. We also run a trout fishery. The farm is open for exploration by our guests and we have an abundance of wildlife with deer, hares, pheasants, ducks, buzzards, hawks and numerous garden birds. We even have our own resident white barn owl.
Our cottages are maintained and furnished to a high standard and all rooms have stunning views of the Galloway countryside. The water in the cottages is supplied by our own spring which rises deep in the hill behind the farm. The water is very pure and clean as it is filtered through Galloway granite and the sand and gravel deposited from a long-gone glacier which once covered our glen. Car parking is available outside the cottages in a private area set aside for this purpose.
Lodge Cottage was once the granary and bothy for the farm that have now been carefully and sympathetically converted into a very comfortable cottage containing all modern-day conveniences while retaining an old-world character. Again, the views from
